William Shamburger, Jr. was born July 31, 1943 to the late William and Ovetta Shamburger in Pine Hill, Alabama of Wilcox County. He departed this life on July 24, 2021.
William was born to a family of twelve siblings. One brother Jimmie Lee Shamburger and two sisters Shirley Cook and Doris Turnipseed preceded him in death.
He acknowledged Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Paul in Pine Hill, Alabama. He later moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he started his career life working for Stockham Values and Fittings Company. He later moved his career working in construction with his family until his retirement.
His memory will be cherished in the hearts of his survivors which include five brothers: Frank, Eddie, Phillip (Lois), Lorenzo (Myra) Shamburger all of Birmingham, Alabama; Norman (Jackie) Shamburger, Millry, Alabama; four sisters: Clairece (Taylor) Finney, Mobile, Alabama; Sarah (Roosevelt) Brackett, Pine Hill, Alabama; Gretta (Henry) Johnson and Earnestine Shamburger, Birmingham, Alabama; one sister-in-law Wilma Shamburger; two uncles: Alexander Phillips, Pine Hill, Alabama; Samuel (Gertherine) Phillips, Springfield Gardens, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
