Veronica Carpenter was born on November 3, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama to Johnny and Blanche Carpenter. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church of Powderly under Reverend Smith Thomas. She attended schools in the Birmingham and Jefferson County area. She was a 1977 graduate of Ramsey High School. Veronica worked as a cook and later became a shift manager at restaurants throughout the Birmingham area.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Tamika Carpenter, Ruben Carpenter III, and Eric Carpenter; three brothers, Dwight D. Carpenter, Marlon W. Carpenter, and Shedrick Carpenter; a sister, Pamela Burch; six grandchildren, Tyesha Carpenter, Thomiya Carpenter, Ri’Lasia Carpenter, Ruben Carpenter IV, Royale Carpenter, and Veronica Carpenter; other relatives and friends.
