Vanessa (Artis) Blakely

Vanessa Artis Blakely was born March 5, 1962 to the late Ida Mae Murray and Walter Lee Artis. She was the daughter of the late Leatha E Matthew.

She confessed to Christ and united with Corinth Baptist Church and later with Tree of Life Church for over 30 years.

She is preceded in death by:  her brothers, Willie Murray, Larry Murray, Robert Murray; and sisters, Betty M Trice and Twanda (Leatha) Jones.

She married Glenn E Blakely Sr. on  January 16, 1987.  From this union, she has five children; Frederick Artis, Glenn Blakely Jr., Gwendolyn Blakely, Tamika Blakely, and De’Angelo Blakely, and 8 grandchildren.

She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Grant, Betty and James Bouie, Carl Murray, 

Cora Murray (Tampa, Fl.), Elaine B. Hart, Twinna Brown (Birmingham, Al.); and  brothers-in-law, Willie Blakely and Thomas Blakely.
