Valarie (Val) Denise Davis was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Val was called to rest on February 28, 2025 after a resilient journey with cancer.
Valarie was born in Ensley Alabama to Patricia Jackson and the late Billy Manley on June 5, 1968. She was the first born of two siblings, Anthony Manley (Deceased) and Terry Manley
Valarie went to Ensley High School and was a high stepper for the yellow jackets. Some of her career paths were a Daycare Teacher for Loveman’s Village Daycare. She substituted in the Homewood City School System until she was hired on as a Special Needs Assistant Teacher at Homewood High School. She worked and loved on the students their until early retirement due to health issues.
Because of her love of the Lord, she formed The Bible Book Club, during retirement where the focus was on reading and understanding each book of the bible through review and discussion. She also focused on healthy living and home remedies where she created oils, elixirs, and creams under the business name, Healing in a Jar.
Valarie was married to Christopher Davis and in their union, they had two children, Kenneth and Kristin.
Valarie leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Christopher Davis, her children Travonda Williams, Kenneth Davis, Kristin Davis, and step son Courtney King. Her mother Patricia Jackson (Thomas), Her brother Terry (Nakita) and 7 grandchildren. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
