Sheila Johnson was born on July 15, 1960. She grew up in Birmingham, AL. She attended P. D. Jackson Olin High and graduated in the class of 1978.
She worked as a dispatcher with Ensley Taxi Company. She also worked as a child care worker. Sheila attended Herzing College and graduated with a major in paralegal studies. She worked at a law office for Doug Jones who was an attorney at the time. She later applied for South Central Bell and was hired there working in customer service until her retirement with AT&T. Sheila's hobbies included photography, gardening, and cooking. She met her late husband Stanley Johnson Sr. They had a son named Stanley Johnson Jr. Sheila began a job working part-time in the kitchen of Mile's College for a short while until she decided she wanted to enjoy her time at home. Sheila later became disabled and wasn't able to fulfill work duties anymore. She was a breast cancer and open heart surgery survivor. Sheila lived a peaceful life until her passing on April, 30, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Gilbert; aunts Mrs. Annie Mae Williams and Mrs. Lillie M. Baldwin; uncles Jimmy Gilbert, Charlie Gilbert, and Leon Gilbert (Sara); and cousin, Willie James Williams
She leaves behind her son Stanley Johnson Jr.; daughter-in-law, Latisha Johnson; nieces Celena Gilbert and Adrian Gilbert Payne (Victor); and a host of family and friends.
