Sharon Louise King was born on June 16, 1948 to the late Roosevelt and Mamie King. She was a 1966 graduate of Westfield Hogh School and a graduate of Lawson State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree.
She retired from Infinity Insurance Company with over 40 years of service.
She joined Peace Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend M.J. Smith. She served as Secretary of the Sunday School for 52 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher for the junior class for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Roosevelt and Mamie King, and brother Jernia Lee King.
Sharon leaves to forever cherish her precious memories: two sisters, Wanda L. Weeks (Dan) and Vendella D. King; one brother, Kedrick C. King (Janet); one niece, Rhonda Weeks-Carter (Gerald); two nephews, Antonio Weeks (Tonya) and Jonathan King; two great nieces, Danielle Weeks and Ayanna Weeks; two great nephews, Chase Weeks and Gerald Carter, Jr.; one aunt, Alma J. Green and a host of cousins, special children, friends and extended family members.
Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2020, 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, 12:00 noon, at Peace Baptist Church, 1531 Camille Street, Mulga AL 35118, burial in Carver Cemetery.
