Rosetta Collier

Rosetta Lacey Collier passed peacefully from this life on the
morning of May 30, 2020 following declining health during the past five
(5) years. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and
caregivers during the last days of her life.

Rosetta Lacey Collier (Ro) "Baby Sister", was born March 15,
1938 to the late Edna D. Lacey Smitherman and Elijah Lacey in
Roosevelt City, Alabama. She confessed hope in Chris at an early age.
Rosetta moved to Birmingham with her mother well before her teenage
years.

She was educated through the City of Birmingham School
System and attended Western Olin High School. She was very active
during her school years and a majorette throughout high school. She
then went on to become a Nursing assistant an moved on to becoming
a well-known licensed professional Cosmetologist for over 40 plus
years.

Rosetta was united in holy matrimony with the late Donald Leon
Collier Sr. She departed life on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Brookwood
Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents,
brother Eursla Lacey, and cousins Sue Lacey, Thelma Jean Pritchett
and Edward Debose. She was a Loving Friend, Sister, Mother,
Grandmother, Great and Great Great Grandmother. She was love and
loved by many.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her three children Donald
Leon Jr. (Andrea Collier) , Carletta Lynn Collier, and Rufus Demetrius
Collier; Grand Children Andrea Collier, Demetrius Collier, Frankita
Willis, Demoenesha Collier, Donald L. Collier 3fd, Alexis Collier, great
grand children Raheem Collier, Carzell Thompson, Quandarrius
Robinson, Tiyana Cephus, Ari'yana Cephus, and India Cephus ; great
great grand children Zoriah Collier, Raheem Collier Jr., Amir Collier and
Cazari Thompson, a loving brother Oscar Lacey, nephews Lamar,
Andre, Bryan and Ollie Lacey. Best friend Beverley Jean, And a host of
other relatives and friends.
