Phyllistine McCall was born on February 6, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Charlie, Sr., and Mary Alice McCall. She was the fifth of ten children. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charlie, Jr., Joe Willie, Nathaniel, and Daisy B.
She graduated from Council Elementary School and Western Olin High School, Class of May 1958. After graduating from high school, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she confessed Christ and was baptized at Zion Baptist Church. She later returned to Birmingham where she united with 23rd Street Baptist Church, Ensley. She later moved her membership to True Love Church, Ensley.
She retired from Cooper Green Hospital with over 30 years of service. She departed her life on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 7:30pm.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Andre (Annette) McCall; daughter, Jacqueline L. McCall, Birmingham, Alabama; brothers, William Henry (Annie Delores) McCall, Freddie Lee McCall, Baltimore, Maryland, and George A. McCall, Birmingham, Alabama; sisters, Martha Louise McCall, and Annie Kate (Wylie) Boyd, Baltimore, Maryland; brother-in-law, William Deamues; sister-in-law, Essie McCall, Baltimore, Maryland; grandchildren, Shauntilde McCall, Alexandria (Donald) Coleman, Charles McCall, Theodoria Epes, Jordan Thompson, Andrea (James) Warner; great-grandchildren, Imani McCall, Logan Sturdivant, Jaylen Warner and Kejuan Warner; Nieces, Nephews, Church Family and a host of other relative and friends.
