Nicole Latreese Todd, 58, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 28th, 2025. She was born on July 19th,1966 in Birmingham Alabama to Lear Kate Carpenter and David Todd.
A native to Ensley, she graduated from Ensley High school. At the age of 18, she started working at Trans Load Limited. Thirty plus years after numerous businesses, she became the head accountant/CEO of transload under James Renford (Ren) and Pete Heartsill. Later she became her own entrepreneur starting her own house renovation with her loving life partner Sidney Washington.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Lamar Hendking Jr (Hannah) and Nieyah Nikkol Hendking; her mother, Lear Hate Carpenter; her loving husband and life partner, Sidney Washington; siblings, Vet Pleasant, Drena Arrington, and Kenneth Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, God children and very close friends, family, and co-workers.
Nicole Todd was a loving, fiery spirit who loved to help others big or small. She enjoyed giving back and believed God's grace could give her better than anything. She enjoyed the casino and shopping while helping her children, family, friends get back on the right track. She believed she had to push the buttons you didn't wanna push yourself! She believed every step we took together as a unit was always a step in the victory lane! More than just smart and caring. (Even if you couldn't say it, you could write it). She always had an open door policy. She might not have all the answers but she would find it for you!
Best Mother, Sister, Daughter, Counselor, Therapist to ANYONE AND EVERYONE! She was the definition of compassion and the essence of God's love. It seems that she was more of a dream than a reality.
In her words “Don't cry for me! Remember the good times and the laughs. And if anything happens to me and I have to go before you, KNOW I'M SENDING THOSE LOTTERY TICKET NUMBERS! Cry in the shower but once you get out, fix that crown… And let's go until the wheels fall off!”
