Mary Jo Davis was born May 21,1947, in Montgomery, AL to the late Ms. Emma Mae Williams and late Mr. Robert Davis. At an early age she was adopted by her Paternal Grandparents, Mr. R.C. and Mrs. Ola H. Davis. She attended the Leeds Negro Elementary School and graduated from Robert Russell Moton High School, Class of 1966.
At an early age she joined Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, Leeds, AL, where she was a member of the Choir, Pearl & Pearlette Group, and the Interdenominational Choir of Leeds.
In July of 1985, she was adopted by her Godparents, the late Mr. John V Graham and Mrs. Ernestine G. Graham and family. In 1988 she joined Greater New Antioch Baptist Church, Ensley, AL where she was member of the choir and on the hospitality community.
Mary Jo Davis peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 12:30 am at her home in Leeds, AL. surrounded by her family. She was proceeded in death by her stepmother, Annie B Davis; brothers Jeff Williams Evan (Frances), Bobbie Williams, Lonnie O. Graham; and sister, Pearlie P. Parks.
She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy of love: Godmother, Ernestine G. Graham; Six brothers, Robert Dwight Davis, Larry Williams (Florette), Flex Williams, Earl Williams, Michael Williams (Cheryl), Gus E. Parker Jr. (Diane); and one sister Yolanda Jones and a host of loving Nieces, Nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
