Lillie Fields Obituary

Lillie was born on August 11th, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama to Will Henry and Rebecca L White. She was the 6th of 8 children from their union. She attended the Birmingham Public School system attending Council Elementary and graduating from Western-Olin High School in May 1962.

Lillie confessed to Christ at a very early age and joined Corinth Baptist Church in Ensley. She continued her membership throughout her adulthood with participation in Sunday school, Choir and Usher board.

She began her career working at Liberty National Insurance Company as an accountant where she served 26 years.

In 1989, Lillie met Jessie James Fields Sr, alone with Jessie James Fields Jr and Tara Fields where their families William Earl Chambers Jr and Joseph Michael Chambers became one.

She later became a lifelong member of the Zion Star Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Usher Ministry #3.

Lillie retired from Liberty National Life Insurance in the 90's and spent time with her children and grandchildren. She loved working part-time at the BJCC to watch the free concerts and basketball games. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, watching comedy shows, watching college football and spent countless hours reading, most importantly, spending quality time with her beloved children.

Lillie went on to study accounting at Birmingham Southern Jr College. She later returned to the workforce at Gentiva Home Health after working a short time before she retired.
