Levi Burke

     Levi Burke was born in Birmingham, Al on April 27, 1949 to the late Mr. Rufus & Mrs Imetrius Burke. He attended Birmingham public schools and was a proud graduate of A H Parker High School.  After graduation from High School, Levi enlisted in the US Navy, upon his completion of duties, he was honorably discharged.  Levi returned to Birmingham, AL where he married the Love of his life, Mary Alexander Burke in 1972.  Levi later enrolled in college and became a certified commercial truck driver of which we retired from Federal Express trucking line.

     Levi had a great passion for football, hunting, fishing and most of all cooking. He was truly the Chef of the house.  Levi love and cherish every moment spent with family and friends, he will truly be missed by his loved ones.

     Levi was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Rufus & Imetrius Burke, his sister,  Ms.Yoette Burke, and a loving daughter, Ms. Kiphanie  J. Burke.  Levi leaves to mourn his wife of 49 years,  Mary Burke, two sons, Toby Burke & Brandon Burke,  four grandchildren, two brothers, Colburn (Janet) Burke & Dwight (Terry) Burke, all of Birmingham, Al.  He also leaves a very special cousin, Mr. Richard Gentry and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
