Jessica LaShawn (Pierce) Hampton

Jessica LaShawn Pierce was brought into this world on June 26, 1972 by her parents, Hardley
Pierce, Jr. (Buster) and Juliette Pierce, at 11 :48 pm. She welcomed her little sister Evelyn in
October 1973.

Jessica was educated through the Birmingham City School System and was a proud graduate
of Ensley High School, Class of 1990.

She went on to attend Lawson State Community College to major in cosmetology and barbering
and later attended Virginia College and completed her studies in the field of medical billing and
coding.

In September 1992, she welcomed her first born, Tracy DeAndre (Deceased). In March 1998,
she welcomed her second son, Tyler Darnel.

In April 1999, she married the love of her life, Deacon Ernest Hampton.

She confessed to Christ under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Gilmore, Sr., where she
served in the capacity of a deaconess, youth advisor, and on the youth advisor kitchen
committee.

Her last employment was with Easy Money.

Her Health started, to deteriorate in October 2019 and she succumbed to illness in the early
morning on May 26, 2021.

Jessica touched many lives she came in contact with. This was evident by how she knew
everyone at Princeton Hospital (Nurses especially).

She leaves to cherish her memories:  a loving husband, Deacon Ernest Hampton; a devoted
son, Tyler Hampton; her dedicated mother, Juliette Pierce; a caring, devoted and supportive
sister, Evelyn Dawkins; loving nephew and niece, Rashad and Autumn Dawkins; sister-in-law,
Theresa Hampton-Trammell.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hardley Pierce, Jr. (Buster) and her first born Tracy
Hampton.

She had three aunts, Barbara Smith(Cecil), Irma Caldwell, and Ethel Pierce; special aunt, Tyjuana
Pierce; great aunt, Doris Smith; three aunts by marriage, Carrie Mae Scott, Clara Hampton
and Mildred Ivy (Randall); one uncle, DeAundria Pierce; one uncle by marriage, Louis
Hampton. She had a host of cousins, family and friends.
