James Houle was born on August 29, 1951, in Clanton, Alabama to the late Rosie Cole-Garth and late Shelby Houle. James was a devoted father, husband, and son known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, wisdom, and sense of humor. He joined the United States Army at an early age and retired from the Alabama State Department as a Mechanic.
James Houle is survived by Von Houle his loving and devoted wife; his daughters, Catonya (Lonnie) McDaniel and Tomeka Houle; his step-son Eliyah (Lorra) Israel, his grandchildren, William “Tra” Felder, Jerry “JJ” Agee, and Derricka Richard; his step-grandchildren, Jackson Pearson, Shiphrah and Talia Israel, his step-father James Garth; his Godsons, James and Derrick Milliner; a very special friend William “Butch” Browder, and a host of extended family, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie Cole Garth, Shelby Houle, and his brother, Michael Houle.
Though James “Boo” Houle presence’s will be deeply missed, his legacy, love, and memory will live on in all who knew and cherished him.
