Ivan Chuntell Yancy, Sr. was born on July 24th,1977 to Willie and Eloise Yancy.
He was educated in the Birmingham City school system and graduated from Jackson Olin High School in 1995.
Ivan was passionate about cooking, discovering new recipes, and always willing to help anyone in need of anything. Ivan had a contagious laugh and when he walked into the room you knew he was there.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St John’s Baptist Church of Pratt City.
His loving memories will be cherished by: his devoted parents, Willie and Eloise Yancy; wife, Tamika Yancy; daughter, Tikera C Yancy; son, Ivan C Yancy Jr.; sister, Sylvia A. Kay (Jesse); a very special nephew, Conrad B. Harris lll; three nieces, Shania C Harris, Khloe Smith, and Aspen Crenshaw; great-niece, Aburi N Logan; mother in-law, Veronica Smith (George); aunts, Dorothy Hill, Dorothy Yancy, Carolyn H Fluellen, Vera Baker (John), Lisa Sims (Adrian), Patricia Hardy, Jacqueline Garnelt (Jerry), Gwendolyn Hardy, Sandra Freeman, and Tracy Hardy; uncles, Roy Yancy (Gwen), Terry Yancy, Steve Yancy, and Samuel Hardy Jr. (Gloria); and a host of very special cousins and many friends.
