Glenda Averette Deramous was born on July 21, 1942, to Henry Averette and Annie Laura Holt in Birmingham, Alabama. Glenda accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Glenda worked various jobs during her career; Social Security, Bell South and she retired from AT&T. Glenda loved for traveled took her many places to include various countries and states.
Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Henry Averette; mother, Annie Laura Holt and brothers, Jerome and Andre Averette.
Glenda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Regina Mills of Springville, Alabama (James), Veronica Deramous, of Springville, Alabama, sister, Gladys Southall of Birmingham, Alabama, brothers Randolph Averette(Belinda) of Dallas, Texas; Henry Averette of Cleveland, Ohio; Milton Averette of Cleveland, Ohio; grandson, Lonny Fanning III of Birmingham, Alabama, grandson, Travis Glenn Deramous(Adrienne) of Dallas Texas, great-grandson, Ezekiel Malachi Deramous; step-greatgrandson, Orin A. Porter, granddaughter Keisha Cornell (Kiran) of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren Kaiden, Kira, Kyla and Kaicee Cornell, granddaughters, Tiana Deramous of Newark, New Jersey, Veronica Sykes of Oak Grove, California; great-grandsons Kayce and Kru Newkirk; grandsons, Derek Quinn Jr., of South Hampton, New York and Douglas Sykes of Oak Grove California and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
