Estella Thomas

 Mrs. Estella Penny-Thomas was born in Powerton, Alabama on 09/23/1930. 

She was united in matrimony to the late Otis Thomas Sr.  At an early age, she expressed her belief in Christ and joined St. John's Baptist Church.  She received her Nursing Service LPN accredation from Birmingham Baptist Hospital.  She retired from (BMC) Baptist Medical Center after working there from 1955 to 1970.  She also worked at the Eye Foundation Hospital. 

Mrs. Thomas departed this life on April 18, 2020 at home. 

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Otis Thomas, Jr.(Debra) and Calvin Thomas.  Mrs. Thomas leaves behind to cherish her memory four daughters Carolyn Hudson, Joyce Ann Hawkins(Vaughn), Debra Franklin(Carl), Jerri Jones(Nathaniel), eight grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
