Edward Garth Abdullah, affectionately known to many as Eddie, was born August 15, 1958, in Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jervis Leon Garth Sr., Ada Mae Garth, and his older brother, Jervis Leon Garth, Jr.
Eddie departed this side of heaven on March 16th in Atlanta, Georgia. He lives to cherish his fond memories, his wife, Altheia Abdullah, Atlanta Georgia, his children: Levar, Edward, and Charles, Seattle Washington, and Tamika Webb (Tiko), Atlanta Georgia. Siblings: Kathleen Washington, Rialto, CA; Earnestine Archie, Birmingham, AL; Louise (Glenn) McMillion, Stockton, CA; Caroline Garth and Helen Garth both of San Bernardino, CA. Others left to mourn include grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and a host of Ministers, Apostles, and Pastors throughout the state of Alabama and Georgia.
Eddie was a photographer/videographer and served in this field for several years. He was a perfectionist in his craft. He used his skills and talents spreading God’s word and uplifting His Kingdom. His favorite quote “Getting the Word of God outside the Walls of the Church”. He not only served in the Body of Christ but also served our country in the United States Air Force.
Eddie was well versed in many subjects and could hold your attention with his infectious smile. He never met a stranger. On many occasions he was a “secret giver”. His heart was always open to the needs of others, be it time or resources.
Like the energized bunny rabbit commercial, he was always working and couldn’t sit down.
