Dorothy Mae Thomas

Dorothy Mae Thomas,87, known as “DOT” passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022. She was born April 25,1935 in Lownesboro, AL to the late Arthur and Emma Dillard.

The oldest of three girls and one brother; she loved her siblings dearly.  At an early age, she confessed to Christ.  Dorothy was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Pratt City. She retired from Bevill State Community College as a baker.

She leaves to cherish her memories two son’s Joseph Thomas Jr and Lorenzo Thomas, one sister Arthenia Jackson, one brother Joe Dillard, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Thomas, son Byron Thomas, parents Arthur and Emma Dillard, sister Annie Dillard and grandson Brandon Smith.
