Dorothy Mae (Reed) Edwards

Dorothy “Dot” Reed Edwards, the second child of the late Mr. Harris Reed and Mrs. Geneva Bennett was born August 7, 1932 in Perry County, Alabama. “Dot” confessed Christ at an early age in Perry County. She later joined First Baptist Church of Adamsville under the leadership of Reverend E.S. Payne. She has been under the leadership of Reverend I.S. Patterson, Sr. for over 29 years at First Baptist Church Adamsville, where she remained until death. She was wed in holy matrimony to the late Lucious Edwards. There were four children born to this union. The angel of death visited Dorothy “Dot” Reed Edwards on November 28, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and daughter Faye Edwards. Her memories will be kept dear through her two daughters, Cassie Edwards and Janice Edwards (Detroit, MI); one son, Eric Edwards (Perry County, AL); five grandchildren; eighteen great grand children; one sister, Vera Reed (Milwaukee, WI); one brother in-law, Heath Murphy (Opelika, FL); a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
