Donna Marie Holyfield
was born to the late Mr. Andrew Holyfield, Sr. and Mrs. Dora L. Holyfield on July 13, 1961.
Donna confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Twenty-Third Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. C. J. McNear.
Donna’s education was obtained in the Birmingham Public School System. She was a graduate of P.D. Jackson-Olin High School Class of 1979 where she served on the Cheerleader Squad. She attended FAMU and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from UAB. She was employed with the Delta Airlines as a Flight Attendant and later employed with Southern Company.
Donna was called into the arms of the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2024.
She was preceded in death by: father, Andrew Holyfield, Sr., Mother, Dora Holyfield; four brothers, Andrew, Jr., James, Harvey and Michel Holyfield.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one brother, Lewis Holyfield; three sisters, Regina Hall, Bernita (Willie) Olds, and Doretta Holyfield-Vega (Jose) of Huntsville Alabama; One Uncle, Jesse Leonard of Los Angelas California; nieces and nephews, Kia Holyfield, Laquetta (Terry) Glaze, Robert (LaShonda) Hall, Jr., Kameisha (Jumel) Tellis, Brandon Hall, Monretta Vega, Crystal Olds, and CWO2 Jose’ Vega III (Aleksi); great nieces and nephews, LaBreccia, Jasmine, Shaquir, Faith, PFC Josiah, Rosetta, Brandon, Jr., Romya; great-great nieces and nephews; Drevon, Breyuana, and D’Carter; a special sister, Pamela Smith-Coulon and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
