Constance was born on June 6, 1963 in Birmingham, Alabama to John E. Lucy and Amanda Nadine Lucy. Throughout her life, she was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she freely shared with everyone she met. Constance attended Tuxedo Elementary and graduated from Ensley High School where she played drums in the band. After completing high school, she studied at Lawson State Community College for Criminal Justice.
Whether through her comforting words, warm smile, or generous heart, Constance touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. She enjoyed taking care animals and engaged in family functions
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents John & Nadine Lucy other cherished family member Ralph Carpenter who welcomed her into eternal peace.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving siblings, with two sisters Myra Wayne, and Johnetta (Albert) Kemp; two brothers, Lawrence(Mary) Carpenter and Tyrone(Cassandra) Wheeler; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord. Her love will continue to live on in every lesson she taught, every memory she created, and every life she touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
