Beulah Ruffin Obituary

Beulah Ruffin was born on December 5, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Norman and Easter Ruffin.  She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Peace Missionary Baptist Church, Pratt City.

Beulah was educated in the Birmingham City School System where she attended McCaw Elementary School and was a 1973 graduate of Jackson Olin High School.  She also attended Lawson State Community College.

Beulah was joined in holy matrimony to Frankie Jackson and to this union a son was born, Reginald Jackson.  They moved to New York and she worked as a paraprofessional in the New York School System.

Beulah returned back to Birmingham and renewed her membership with Peace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Major W. Burrell.  She lived in the Birmingham Nursing Rehabilitation Center where they took very good care of her for the last five years.

Beulah was a soft-spoken person with a beautiful smile.  She loved everyone, especially children.  She loved her son, nephews, nieces and many many more.

Beulah departed this life on Monday, March 15, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Lurlene Payne; and brother, Leon Ruffin.

Beulah leaves to cherish precious memories:  son, Reginald Jackson of New York; her one loving and devoted sister, Inell (Willie) Juran; five brothers, one faithful Ralph (Pat) Ruffin, Robert Ruffin, Ronald Ruffin, Frank (Mary) Ruffin, and Terry Ruffin; an aunt, Frances (Herbert) Shine of Greenville, Alabama; devoted nephews, Raul and Mike; a niece, Katrice Martin, who stayed right by her side no matter what; a host of other nieces, nephews and family members; two very special devoted friends, Karl of California and Nathaniel of Birmingham.
