Arthur Willis was born on July 14, 1942 to the late Lenard Willis and Rosa Lee Motley in Dallas County, Selma Alabama. He accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Pratt City. He was a hard working man with a gentle spirit. He was known by his neighbors and friends to be kind hearted and very helpful in time of need. He was a gifted mechanic who fixed all types of cars and weed-eaters and lawnmowers. He worked at Thomas Foundries (SVEDALA) until his early retirement for medical issues.
God called him home during lunchtime Thursday August 22, 2024 while he was at the Magnolia Care and Rehab facility.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Billy James Motley (MUTT), his sons and daughters that he loved: a devoted and loving son Arthur Willis Jr. (Valerie), Freeman Willis, Derrick Willis (Latonya), Lillie Woods "DeeDee" (Donald), Calvin Edwards, Deneatres LaTreec Green Deer (Levi), Justin Green (Shakara) and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
With all my heart I've worked hard to show my love, my kindness, my compassion and my hands of services to all that I've come in contact with. If I've ever done you wrong, I pray you find in your heart to forgive me because I'm not perfect. My work here is finished. God has prepared a place of rest for me and has called me home. I hope that in some kind of way I've made a positive impact on all who know me, and the knowledge and wisdom I've shared will help you to be better. May God be with you all and I want you to always remember that "I LOVE YOU".
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the lord rather than people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT
