Anthony Carter, Jr. Obituary

Anthony Leon Carter, Jr. (AJ) was born on April 21, 1988 in Birmingham, AL. Born to Anthony Carter, Sr. and the late Malary Hudson Carter. Throughout life’s adversities, AJ continued to fight, show love to his family and remained deep in his faith with God. AJ held on to God’s unchanging hand. AJ was a member of Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church where he devoted his life to Christ at an early age. AJ received his high school diploma P.D. Jackson-Olin High School in 2006 where he was a member of the “Mighty Marching Mustangs”. He furthered his education at Virginia College obtaining certification in HVAC in 2014. AJ was an avid traveler, he loved taking vacations with his family. He had plans of returning to Atlantic City, NJ, his favorite travel destination. AJ lived life to the fullest, a kind person with a loving heart. A smile that was impossible to ignore. His sense of humor was one of a kind - always ready with a joke. But beyond the laughter and smiles, AJ was a fighter. Life threw challenges, he never backed down facing each obstacle with strength, courage, and resilience. Our father in Heaven called AJ home on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 11:08am. AJ is preceded in death by his mother, Malary Hudson Carter, his grandmothers Margaret Hudson and Alvoid Carter, cousins, aunts, uncles.
