Alexis LaShay Shardáe Williams-Craig was born on June 12, 1987, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born to Annette Williams and the late Anthony B. Williams. She departed this life on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John AME Church where she attended. Alexis attended Birmingham City Schools. She graduated from Parker High School in 2005. After completion of high school, she attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she studied nursing. She worked at Grandview Medical Center for many years fulfilling her love for helping others. Alexis was preceded in death by her loving father, Anthony B. Williams, Sr.; grandmothers, Johnnie May Williams and Angel Moten; aunts, Doris Knight and Chanell Shanks; uncles, Darryl Fleming and Donald Williams; and cousin, Shamar Stanley. She leaves to cherish: her loving husband, Moses Craig; mother, Annette Williams-McCall (Andre); one brother, Anthony Williams; grandmother, Winnie Lavender; aunts, Cynthia Pratt (Frank), Loretta Fleming, Jacqulyn Nabors, Janice Blank, Sandra Williams, Debbie Williams, Julia Williams, Jacqueline Nixon, LaTonya Nixon, LaKisha Nixon (Curtis), and Angela Nixon (Caulton); uncles, Eldridge Battle and Jeveriel Jackson; mother-in-law, Rosland Craig; niece, Angel Nichole Mabry; sister-in-law, Nashima Craig; brother-in-law, Trevionne; special cousin, Jessica Stanley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
