Alberta was born September 20, 1951, to Mr. Leverd Nunn and Bessie Nunn. Growing up in the Birmingham community, her Christian journey began at Six Ave Baptist Church. She later joined Willing Worker Prayer Band Church and was a devoted member for many years. She started at Ullman High School but graduated from A.H. Parker High School in 1969. Alberta worked as a Store Manager for Cato for 20 years.
Alberta married Larry D. Baker on May 25th, 1971. She was a devoted wife and mother. To their union, four children were born. Damian D. Baker (Lakisha), Keisha T. Baker, Monica M. Baker White, and Monisha L. Dixon (William). She was a grandmother of 10 grandchildren Damian, Shamika, Latrice, Brandon, Emanuel, Joshua (Aliyah), Desmond, Madison, William, and Malia. And a host of great grandchildren.
Alberta is preceded in death by her husband, Larry D. Baker, her father Leverd Nunn, stepmother Elaine Nunn, grandson Christian Baker, great-grandson Jacari Childers, and her sister- in-Christ Pastor Pauline Thomas.
Treasured memories of her life will be shared by: her mother Bessie Nunn, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her brothers Wayne Nunn(Sarah), Leverd Nunn III (Thelma), her sisters Vester Chase (Clarkson), Patricia Nunn Oden, Earline Nunn Stone, Nicole Rodriguez (Jose), Latonya Nunn Cornish, Holly Naclerio (Chris), Evelyn Hayes (Tommy), Angelita Osborne and Ivy Unger. Sister-in-law Betty Fairley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Best-friends Juanita Williams and Jamaica Brown.
